The devil in disguise
There he sat, haughty and filled with obsessions. He wanted to make sure the world knew there was only one true way.
If they didn’t believe in what he said, he would pull his work off the digital author platforms, how dare they disagree, have an opinion or think otherwise. He was so sure that his was The Only Way that anyone who dared know different was just, as he called them .. ‘Stupid’.
And so he went along inspiring all with his second coming knowledge and they fell to their knees, banishing any critical exploration of The Topic.
He led them as a pied piper, he charmed them into oblivion … but it was all a type of kool-aid drink, one which, when they were in solitude … couldn’t use their minds anymore, they had to connect to the all to think again.
They simply lost the gift of original thought. And the devil relished in this as he gained more and more authority and notoriety. Thus he lives in disguise and deceit among us. He who maketh you follow.
